People often ask me how I describe
my style, and I would say that it is mostly a combination of portraits
and candids with some editorial added in. It is clean and expressive,
classic and tender, funny and real. Your wedding is not only a huge
day in your life, but it is, for many people, the one event when
the largest concentration of the people closest to you gather from
all corners to celebrate you and the start of your new life together.
As your photographer, my goal is to tell the story of your wedding
in a way that is faithful to the things that are most important
to you: your love, your family, and your friends...and the little
things too!
I offer a variety of levels of coverage starting at $2595 for 5
hours. Options include engagement photo sessions, online proofing,
albums and beautiful accordion presentation
boxes. All levels include proofs and negatives.
Children, Families, High School Seniors and Beyond
Fast forward a year or a few…
Many of my wedding clients have come back to ask me to photograph
them again when their children are born and as their families grow.
Prices for these bookings begin at $275. Please
let me know what you are looking for, and I’ll be happy to customize
a quote for you.
“How did you become a wedding photographer, anyway?”
After photo school in Seattle, I had the idea I would specialize in photographing
shoes and still life (!?) but could not get excited about being inside a studio all day.
Having always known that I loved and was good at taking relaxed and flattering pictures
of people, I left plan A behind and started working for wedding/portrait/editorial photographers.
About 10 years ago I began to do weddings on my own, and children’s and family portraits not long after that.
Before going back to school, I traveled and worked in outdoor education in Maine, did a lot of sailing,
got a Coast Guard License and started a small greeting card business… and it all began after I graduated
from UW with degrees in anthropology and history.
